Thread Vein Treatment

At the SkinQure Clinic, we provide Sclerotherapy  and KTP 532nm laser for the treatment of thread veins, also known as spider veins and sometimes referred to as small varicose veins. Sclerotherapy is the gold standard.

Sclerotherapy is best way to treat unsightly ‘thread veins’ (venules) on the legs. A sclerosant is injected directly into the venules causing inflammation of the walls of the vessel. The venules disappear over a few weeks to months. Larger varicose veins may also be treated by Sclerotherapy, but sometimes surgery is a better option. Sclerotherapy is an effective, safe way of treating thread veins

For finer veins especially on the face we use our Gemini Laserscope laser. This works very well for the weathered look on the face or fine mats of veins on the legs that are too small for injection. The Laser is also effective for other vascular blemishes such as haemangiomas  (cherry red spots) and spider naevi as well as the reddening commonly caused by acne rosea.

The SkinQure clinic is discreet and private, and based at Brough, near Hull in East Yorkshire.
